...or ukelele fun tour on wheels!



This July, Matt Elver, Charlie Mason and Lee Renshaw are going to be travelling 900 miles from John O'Groats to Land's End in an attempt to break the British distance skateboarding record, currently held by Ben Stiff. Equally, they're also attempting to raise £5000 for The Gogo Trust, which supports orphans and widows of the AIDS epidemic in Africa. If they succeed, then a new community centre can be built!

Anyone that saw the Orsum Board Train at Skaiti will know these guys skate together lots, work as a team, and are really excited about the trip, which is becoming more real by the moment.

It's going to be a stoking journey - averaging 50 miles a day, and they have the full support of three sets of parents, some big vans (not so big when you fit everyone in 'em!) and I'm rolling along as team manager and media schmoozer for the majority of the journey, so expect plenty of updates on here!

This thing just got real - flying up to Orkney tomorrow to sort out media stuff and get prepped for JOGLE - this is nuts! I just finished my teachering!!!

In Orkney - so so happy to be back. It's even more spectacular from the air, and whilst its not mountainous or anything it's just beautiful. I stayed a great hostel last night who have been really generous to me:

Went out for a wicked couple of hours skate last night after a post-3 flights cup of tea. Fun, nippy, horrendous sliding surface but I tried anyway. I only have one pair of shorts, and now the arse on them is fully ripped. Haha!



This morning we hit up the local skatepark which is just banks galore: so much fun!

Got a message from Matt at 6am, saying they were eating porridge and going. Would've liked to stay asleep, lord knows I need my beauty sleep!

Called them later in the day, 50 miles done, the goal was 42, so good start. Charlie's already stacked it as his wheel fell off, great start! Apparently it was raining too, yummy!
