When pushing, you are balancing with one foot on the board too. According to your words, you would say that a lower board is as easy to ride as a topmounted board.

My Demonseed provides a comfortably stable ride, which means that I don't have to try as hard to stay balanced as I would on a topmount. I also have no problems manoeuvring it through city traffic or even promenade crowds with one foot on the board.
While I admit I am not as manoeuvrable as I would be when riding a topmount, I am still agile enough to make my way through a promenade crowd with just one foot on the board.

Perhaps you are not confident enough in your abilities to be comfortable on a less agile board, and are therefore not seeing the obvious benefits?
