Subsonic Century 38 review
A few weeks ago I borrowed a century to test out (thanks Ben!!). It was set up with lime bigzigs, a bennet vector on the front and a tracker rt on the back.
I had never ridden a board like this before, and it felt odd, kind of hard but turny at the same time. However, this meant i could not compare it to other pumpers.
After a few days I was able to pump about 200 metres at a time. Later that week I took the board to Swansea bay, and did about 10 miles. even with about 4 wedges, the deck was still quite low- where this board dominates is its performance in both pushing and pumping. It was still quite loose to push, but although light seemed to have a nice lot of momentum. the shape also means you can get your feet in just the right place for maximum control, and being lowered it handles speed fairly well.
This is a great board for pushing and pumping, does both without making any adjustments. It's also ideal for someone who can't afford a pusher and pumper separately-only buying one board this is a great choice. Just not the kind of board for going around towns as its height can be dangerous, but this is the case with most long distance boards.
I love it!!!
