Well, I got my first deck through today. This is a 28 inch test deck, involving traditional wood and fiberglass plys, and a sick paint job. It feels like a Subsonic Pulse flex wise - it's stiffer and more powerful than the stock Cambiar deck, and it has 4 inches of extra length to get your feet around (ooeerrr). Beautiful inside and out, I am thoroughly impressed by Scott's work, and the fact that his design fits the brackets perfectly is just amazing. I was very nervous when I first opened the package but once I saw the craftsmanship before my eyes, I beamed. Take a look at some of these shots: Attachment: n776045581_7015300_1454384.jpg [ 61.67 KB | Viewed 1255 times ] Attachment: n776045581_7015306_7821245.jpg [ 49.42 KB | Viewed 1259 times ] attachment=1]4453_196585570581_776045581_7015296_5952137_n.jpg[/attachment] Attachment: 4453_196585580581_776045581_7015297_3653294_n.jpg [ 64.01 KB | Viewed 1250 times ] I'm so stoked. Mark has decided to go with my idea for the name - Illuminati. I hope that Eric's Dark Matter deck will accompany it as part of a powerful LDP lineup.

Awesome!!! I see a skatefurther shining light! I'm elated that your apart of this Laura. I'm thrilled to have you name the deck as well. Illuminati is a perfect name if there ever could be one. Thank you. Seeing you skate on it brings warmth to my heart. This has been one heck of a Journey with Mark. And Scott has truly just been icing on the cake. O but this journey is not over yet. If all goes as plan "the" perfect mold is in the works. Imagine the board with just a hint of camber and concave. (Very Mild) So your digging that shape? Originally I wanted it just a hint more aggressive. I'm afraid I might be alone on this one. I have had many look at me like I'm crazy when I said I wanted to change the shape.....I embrace you alls input should we just leave it? It's got a ton of foot space which I know will make everyone happy. I wanted more aggressive to be able to do some of my foot work better. I could always save the foot work for the Dark Matter which is what it was intended more for anyways. SKATEFURTHER what say you? |

Just a quick post on here, to supplement the information given so far about this test deck. By way of an update on how things are going, Eric would probably be able to give you the best info, but as far as I can tell, things are dialling in quite nicely now. I'm getting through a light flex test deck for the fun of it, and a stiffer test deck to run on some...special brackets... Watch this space, I'll update as often as I have info. |

Hey skatersjourney - just saw that you referenced this board in the thread about the sale of a Roe Mermaid. Is there any more news? I've not seen that the G-bomb site has been update recently either. Any insider goss?! |

Well! The gossip is: - I'm using a 2.0 illuminati with the final shape and camber and it is my favourite board for city slicking EVER. This LDP inspired board is wiseguy like a NYC cabbie - tried some new bushing setups last night and it is UNREAL. I know I get excited about boards lots, but this deck shape is a such a great development from the first one...it's truly a board for the urban skater. Rolling on 69mm Hot Spots it's unbeatable. If you want more slidey go for 4Prez, but I'm so impressed by this board. You know it's never going to take massive massive hills, but it's going do pretty much everything else you could dream of. Pedestrian slalom, all kinds of surfaces, talking point with attractive passers by, this thing is beautiful! - In Texas, the G|Bombers are in the final test phase of working with the final layup from Subsonic Scott using a new wood which will ensure strength and pop like nothing else. They've got the big guns out to see if they can break it and as yet, no luck. - We have a website coming along nicely, and I'm not sure how much of the rest I'm allowed to say but let me tells ya, it's looking mighty fine from where I'm standing! |

Any idea on when anything will become available? All sounds very excited. I've been a fan of the G|Bomb brackets ever since i met a guy using them on the trocadero around a year ago. If i remember rightly it was chopped-up S9 carbon Trilam. With the right board I've got a feeling that the ride will blow me away! What trucks/bushings will be recommended? The one i tried was with Gullwing missions... Thanks for the info - great news! |

As for a proper date when you can order these things in a deck/brackets combined style - you'd need to ask Eric Lowell I suppose! I'm just in it to throw ideas, test and promote like the little hussy I am For the true Illuminati experience I would recommend the setup I'm on just now: Attachment: 9432_272799835581_776045581_8808994_3523540_n.jpg [ 42.95 KB | Viewed 800 times ] G Bomb pumping bracket front G Bomb 15mm carving bracket at the back Bennet 5.0 on the front (black is sexy!) Tracker 129 RTS on the back Purple Hotspots up front Turquoise down back Good bearings - I'm on Reds For bushings - 2 white Khiros and a Lime reflex barrel up front (you'll need some washer cuppy things...I'll take pictures) Lemon barrel and lime tall cone down back ...(you'll also need some washer cuppy things for this - again pics will come soon) It sounds mad, it looks mad, it feels GREAT! |

Just found this beauty of a video on the Pavedwave forum which I thought deserved to be shared: It's of Eric Douglass doing his Thang on what looks like a Subcirus. |
