Post Dangerous Decks
Saw this and met the guys at Hog Hill last Sunday. Lovely board, the finish on the underneath was just amazing.

rode really nicely. Reminds me of the woodie but with a but less flex and less wheel 'arch' I'm really interested in what these guys can do. They are new to board building but seem to be getting the hang of it!

ive seen these guys posting on lush, nice to actually see one of thier boards! it looks great and really well made!

all i would say is get rod of those arches, cause they dont look that functional (wheels go past them so youd still get spray) and they look wheelbitey?

this was just a first try at something distancey. They liked the drop of the demonseed... but the finish and materials are second to none. They had other boards as well.

yeah it was a pretty sick construction, but the shape and ergonomics were off. needs cut outs and a longer platform. the concave was nice though, on a slightly wider deck it would feel awesome. and a tad less drop.
so all that and some badass graphics and it would be bitchin'

Post Re: Dangerous Decks
Hi everybody, this is my first post on Skatefurther and I was rally pleased to find us on here. Thanks for all the comments too which are really helpful. A bit of background: Dangerous Decks is Lewis (14) who does the skating and me, Pete (52) who doesn't. Between us we'd been making a couple of decks and playing around with them and the deck seen here was meant to be a racer but when Nat saw it at Hog Hill and immediately assumed that it was a pusher, it was like a veil had been lifted from our eyes. Some of you may have seen the very deck at B2B this weekend. We posted it to Gavyn (gavmc) and he's taken his jig saw to it to remove the wheelbite problems and after all it's trials I suspect it's now nowhere near as pretty as it looks in the pictures. We're gong to do a mark 2, a little bit longer and possibly with drop through trucks so it'll be REALLY low. Jesse Tigh (thanks for your comments and confidence in jumping straight on it) took it up to a fair old speed at Hog Hill and it seemed pretty stable with its Holeys, yellow bushings and 72mm speedvents so I think we'll stick with that set up (probably play with the bushings) and see what we get. On a more general note, We've nearly got our website finished, dangerousdecks.co.uk , and we've got accounts in place with major supliers and we'll be opening shop fairly soon so have a look. Cult wheels anyone?. More excitingly, we've got Rob Borek and Gavyn McKenzie on board as team riders and we've entered Rob at Eastbourne as our official team racer. To this end, Rob's currently testing an evil looking prototype top mount board of his design to campaign at St Aubin Epinay and Eastbourne. Gav has given us plans for the most outrageosly cool winged beast of a speedboard which I was shaping this weekend and we'll be delivering it to him for "evaluation" (and we all know what that means) later next week. And yes Franky, your deck was pressed up this weekend and I just need to ask you a few final questions about shape and that'll be with you by the end of next week too. The reason I can do all this is that I run a hand built kitchen company and as a result I've got a well equipped workshop that we can play in at evenings and weekend ( thedovetailnoint.co.uk ) which makes the whole thing possible. Any road, we're having a great time of it and being very new to the scene, I have to say I'm glad we've got into it and even in the short time we've been around we've met some really top people. Cheerio and see you all on the Sunday at Hog hill!

Yeah we saw Gav at the B2B and the board was getting lots of praise. Everyone was super impressed with the build quality and the finish. Would be really interested in the droeed version... really interested!

Keep us all up to date with what you are up to, you have a captive audience here for pushing decks! I'll see you at Hog Hill. Still trying to sort out the pass to get both days, if not, I'll deffo be there for the Sunday! Got 4th place to defend!

Edit! here's a pic of the board from the Beer Festival about 1/4 of the way through. Holding out well! (wheel cutouts need to be a bit further back Gav! 8-) )
